A good day training today has prompted me to start keeping a record of it.
I will start by giving some background so I have a starting point.
Jemma:
I have had her since she was a year and a half and she is now 5.
She has recently started competing in agility and been to 4 competitions and got one clear round which gave her an eleventh place out of 75 :D It is the weaves that normally lets us down but we are getting there with them.
She is going to her first obedience competition at the end of march, she has only done league matches so far and although i have been working on her heelwork she still has issues with staying sat when she is meant to!!
She also does flyball and has been to a few competitions but for some unknown reason prefeers to play with the other team - she never normally pays any attention to other dogs!!
Elliot:
I have had him only six months and he has jsut turned 1.
When I got him he was petrified of people and everything else for that matter bless him. However he is now a completely different dog and he loves everyone!! He is also VERY smart and picks everything up REALLY quickly. When out on walks he is a little bit of a terror - he likes to chase wheels which means he isn't off lead much although I now have a 99% recall when he has a ball in his mouth and there are no wheels around (occasionally even when there are!!) and so if I take him to Blaise castle he can go off lead in the woods and he has a really great time, hence me visiting there as much as possible!!
He goes to obedience training and will be competeing in the same competition as Jemma, I thought if I was taking one I may as well take them both especially as he has picked everything up so quick.
He started puppy agility over Christmas and absolutely loved it!! He has started flyball training as well and has picked that up Super quick too, he can be seen in nats video here he is the first dog on the video :)
