Agility Nuts 13/12/09

Elliot:

Agility:
Elliot still isn't ready for contacts so I didn't enter him in this class :)

Jumping:
We only did the course upto the weave and then we made up our own little bit at the end but he worked beautifully and worked really well round some long gaps as i was front crossing, i was really pleased with him!!

Speed & Power:
Again we only did the speed bit as he isn't ready for contacts but he worked really nicely up to this bit, I was really happy with him, just need to sort his contacts out!!!

Take your own line jumping:
I did the same course as I had planned for jem but started after the weaves and he worked it lovely again, and just took one jump wrong at the end but again I think it was my fault bless him!!

Jemma:

Agility:
Well there was something that all the dogs found interesting to sniff in this course and sadly it was by the weaves, so although i didn't think jem would notice it as she has her "agility brain in gear least when she is doing the weaves she sadly did!!! She did however get the entrance to the weaves very nicely! But i got her collar and sent her jump-weave again and she did it beautifully and ignored the smell!!, she then did a lovely a-frame contact but has got into the habit of breaking when i tell her yes (her click word) so i put her back on!!

Jumping:
Well we got a fourth in this class and she worked some lovely long gaps whilst I was front crossing, I was really pleased with her, however when it came to the weaves she went towards them and then came back to me and then did them, so basically the same as she did at blackdown - i clearly need to find out why as i reckon in both these classes we may have won it if she hadn't done (although in this class she was 6.587s slower than the winner).

Speed & Power:
I was so annoyed with myself in this class - Jem worked all the jumps beautifully and then I made her really work her seesaw and dog walk which she did lovely but then I stood in a stupid place after the dogwalk and she knocked the pole which obviously because of the class she was eliminated but she then did a lovely a a-frame too afterwards!! so beautiful dog, rubbish handler!!!

Take your own line jumping:
The course I designed started jump jump weave and she did the same thing as before - went up to them and then turned round so I took her back to the beginning and she did it lovely, however the rest of the course didn't go quite as planned, probably due to me not workin it as hard as I should have done because she messed up the beginning!!

All in all it was a very enjoyable day if not overly successful :)
