Jem:
She was pretty good, we worked on tightening up her corners and me using my arms to push her out/bring her in. Her contacts were a little bit wobbly so we worked on them a bit and then we tried the course again to finish and she did the most beautiful fast a-frame contact, it was lovely :) Her weaves were also really good, spot on every time and they were in the middle of the course and their were 10 of them :)
Elliot:
Well, he was a clever little boy!! We started with some jumping and he was good when I got it right and didn't drop my arm!! Also, the beset thing about his jumping was his style - probably about 80% of the jumping on the straight lines he was flicking his back legs back rather than tucking them up, all from just that one short session last week on the spread :) The next bit is to work on him doing it when we are going round corners as then he tucks up about 99% of the time!! We then did some contacts, with the perspex he can do the whole peice of equipment and slaps his nose on the perspex and does a lovely long nose touch. The plan for when I go home over christmas is to really work on fading out the target!! Then we went on to the weaves ... ... :D ... ... he did six beautifully with me on the left walking from the first pole, he then did jump, weaves exactly the same, really fast flowing weaves, it was lovely to watch and I am so pleased with him!! The plan for tomorrow now is that if any of the courses are jump weaves or jump jump weaves then I am going to give them a go. He will get three attempts, two normally, the last one I shall sit him and do a recall and if he still doesn't do it I shall sit him before the next jump and make it as if that is the start :) If they are in the middle I shall see how the course flows as to whether we will do them or not, again if nec. sitting him before them!
I am really looking forward to tomorrow, not only with my own dogs, but watchin asher, hex and my friends dog poppy :)
